There’s a handful of VR browsers available now and we have compiled a list of the best ones. Try a few and see which one you prefer!
Samsung Internet for Gear VR
The Samsung Internet for Gear VR browser is only compatible with the Samsung Gear VR headset and comes at no cost.
This is more of a demo portal that can be accessed via iOS, Android, Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive VR devices and also comes at no cost to the user.
The JanusVR web browser feels like they’ve really gone all out rather than some of the others that feel a bit basic in terms of immersion in the virtual reality experience. JanusVR turns hyperlinks into pathways and websites appear as rooms.
Steam VR Web Browser
The Steam VR Web Browser requires you to opt into the Steam client beta as there has yet to be a full version release at the time of this writing. The browser supports nearly any web content, as well as support for Flash. Being a beta, go in with the expectation that the program won’t be without it’s flaws but it is shaping up to be a great tool.
