VR Games coming in 2018

Virtual reality games are becoming more popular and so are the wide range of headsets available with 2017 being a successful year for VR and 2018 looking to be the biggest to date. We cover some of the VR games that are coming in 2018 and will update as more are announced throughout the year. We look forward to what these games will offer now that the developers have had more time and experience making VR games and creating captivating and unique experiences.


The American Dream (by Samurai Punk Pty Ltd.)

Golem (by Highwire Games)

Golem is the first title from Highwire, an independent developer founded by industry veterans in Seattle. It is built from the ground up for PlayStation VR and features original music from Marty O’Donnell — award-winning composer of Halo and Destiny — and innovative VR controls developed by Jaime Griesemer — Game Designer on Halo, Destiny and Infamous Second Son.

In Golem, you play as an adventurous kid who has been seriously injured. You are stuck at home in your bed, dreaming of exploring the outside world.

You gradually develop the power to create and control stone creatures known as golems. You see through their eyes, direct their movements, and use them to explore beyond the confines of your room. At first, you can only build small doll-sized golems to send around your room but eventually your powers will grow, until you can send enormous 15-foot tall giants to explore an ancient abandoned city.

Torn (by Aspyr)

Torn, a mystery inspired by such classics as The Twilight Zone, is set in the Vermont forest where you discover a house full of secrets. What you find in there are numerous experiments, inventions, gear and documentation that reveal a lot about the doctor who lived there–however they’re also remnants of a man who’s been missing for 64 years.
